PassoverRecipes.com Introduces Community-Generated Passover Recipe Site and Call for Entries
Summary
PassoverRecipes.com is now accepting recipes and cooking videos from home cooks who want to be a little bit famous.
Passover is almost here, and that means family, celebrations, and special food. PassoverRecipes.com is a new website that combines the flavors of Passover food with the flavor of the people who make it on this community recipe and video site.
“PassoverRecipes.com offers a way for people to connect with their Jewish heritage through food, which is especially important when families are separated geographically and can’t cook together,” says Miri Rossito, founder.
It’s this spirit of community which permeates PassoverRecipes.com, as members and guests can watch grandmothers making homemade matzo ball soup, students assembling Passover pizza for the microwave, and any number of people using their creativity to use matzo in different ways on this holiday which prohibits bread and anything leavened.
Recipe categories include appetizers/sides, breakfast, entrees, dessert and Seder standbys, and are further split into dairy, meat and pareve dishes to plan kosher menus. The PassoverRecipes.com gift shop offers Judaica, Seder Plates, Kiddush Cups, Passover Haggadahs, children’s items, and Passover gifts.
PassoverRecipes.com also offers bragging rights to be featured on the site. There’s a recipe submission form that encourages participants to impress the grandkids or the mah jongg club by submitting Passover recipes and videos. “There is still time to be featured for Passover, so get those entries in today,” says Miri.”
About PassoverRecipes.com
PassoverRecipes.com celebrates the people who celebrate Passover. Bubbies, Jewish Mothers, Mothers-In-Law, hungry students, and the occasional man in the kitchen contribute recipes and cooking demonstrations for the food that makes this holiday different from any other holiday.
